EuroSurf Bundoran!! The half way mark.

I just jumped into the Alligham Hotel in Bundoran to get some internet connection and Iv forgotten my laptop charger so il make this quick. Here at the Bundoran EuroSurf we have reached the half way mark and so far its been pretty amazing!!
The waves have been small but super fun and the weather has been great! Like I mentioned on the blog before I am shooting it for www.westcoastsurfer.com and its been brilliant. I am staying with James Skerritt who is shooting video for the website so its cool to be working along someone like that.
Here are some shots from the first few days. There are more on

The City!!

Here are some shots from a recent trip I did up to the Big Shmoke. I find it hard to stay in Dublin for more the 24hours. Theres way too much going on! People/cars/bikes/busses, everyone in a rush. I think i start to become a bit Claustrophobic or something.
It makes me love getting stuck behind a herd of cows in Clare that bit more.

The tourists where out in force.. Poor Pj doesn't get to see much other than Miltown Malbay so it was a big trip for him to be out of the Parish for the first time.. :)

If I don't mention the girls I might get in trouble, We met up with Nicole, Aoife, Una and Doireann. Great crac!!

This is the part I dont like. People walking fast, car horns, taxi men shouting, aahhh!!!

Haven't a clue who this guy is but he followed us around all the time.. Freaky!!

Packing for a wedding right now. Should be a great day in Killarney, then off to Eurosurf in Bundoran sunday morning. Il keep you all posted on that.

EuroSurf Bundoran!!!!!!!

This year Bundoran is host to the European Surf Championships.
Its going to be a great ten days starting on the 23rd of September and on till the 2nd of October. I was lucky enough to get the job of covering the whole event for WestCoastSurfer.com so you can tune in there for up to date results, pictures and more.
My friend James Skerritt is going to be doing highlight videos all week so keep an eye on WestCoastSurfer.com to see them too.

I have a wedding down in Killarney on the 24th but will get everything in full swing on sunday. Cant wait for some serious surf and fun.

Heres two quick shots of Tommy G from Rileys on Friday. He was on fire!!!

The Cliffs of Moher

I was heading home after visiting my friend Donnchadh a few weeks ago who was lifeguarding at Bishops Quarter which, sure is a beautiful secluded area and extremely safe to swim in but is by a long shot the most boring beach to lifeguard at, I feel so sorry for the poor lifeguards who get there each year. On our way back home the light looked really good so we stopped off at the Cliffs of Moher.-

Heres some shots from that

I love it at the cliffs.

The Fire Breathers

Ah you cant but love the summer nights spent on the beach with all your friends. The nice peaceful atmosphere as people chat around the camp fire. Moon and the stars shine away in the dark night. Its great. However if you have been to a lifeguard party its nothing like that. They are wild showcases of the deranged lifeguards that we are so lucky to have here in Clare.
Here are some shots to prove it.
Taken at the Doonbeg, Whitestrand beach.

All is peaceful at the Campsite.

Then Seamus O' Rian kicks off some fire breathing. As you do.

Of course having the "monkey see monkey do" attitude, all the lifeguards have to have a go. :)
That Bernard,

David Mannion

and Fionan.

Lunatics..
